The City of Hoover was a awarded a judgment in its favor by the Circuit Court of Jefferson County in a wrongful death lawsuit brought by the mother of a stabbing victim. The mother alleged the City’s police and dispatchers were negligent in responding. The City showed the Police arrived in less than five minutes and that the stabbing victim was likely dead, or medical care would not revive her.
